Red Willow Park offers over 70 km of multi-use trails and five major park areas including a water spray park, a beach volleyball court and a skateboard park. Big Lake and the Lois Hole Centennial Provincial Park are home to over 235 species of birds, and offers an extraordinary opportunity to discover nature. The Botanic Garden has the largest established rose garden in Alberta and Holes Greenhouse is a delight to visit twelve months of the year.
Downtown St. Albert, the Arts & Heritage District is a visitor's paradise. Unique shops and great restaurants are nestled amongst restored buildings, murals, and works of art. While downtown you can visit Profiles Art Gallery, the Musee Heritage Museum, the Michif Cultural & Resource Institute, and the Douglas Cardinal designed St. Albert Place including the Arden Theatre. Winter offers tobogganing, cross country skiing, and outdoor ice-skating. St. Albert is also home to Servus Credit Union Place, the largest leisure centre in Western Canada.
