Spruce Grove

Located just 11 km west of Edmonton between Highway 16A and the Yellowhead Highway, Spruce Grove offers an impressive array of recreational, cultural and leisure experiences for all ages.
Come visit the TransAlta Tri Leisure Centre which features an Aquatic Centre, indoor running track, fitness centre, indoor soccer pitches, gymnasium, two NHL regulation sized arenas, and a children’s play centre.

Check out Spruce Grove’s extensive 50 km Heritage Grove Park Trail System, which is perfect for walking, jogging, inline-skating or biking. Or if golfing is your passion, try the Links Golf and Country Club, an 18-hole championship course open to the public in Spruce Grove.

Spruce Grove is rich in talent. The Horizon Stage Performing Arts Centre offers a variety of internationally acclaimed musicians, children’s entertainers and comedy troupes. It is also home to the Horizon Players, a group of local actors who bring musicals and plays to life.

The city hosts a number of family-oriented festivals and attractions throughout the year including Christmas in Central Park, Canada Day/Street Performer’s Festival, Grove Cruise Classic Car Weekend, Farmers’ Market and the Spruce Grove Grain Elevator — one of Canada’s oldest working elevators.

Spruce Grove also offers an array of amenities from major retailers to unique boutiques to character restaurants and places to stay.
