Jurassic Forest is open daily from 9am-7pm until the end of our 2015 season in mid October.
The trails open at the end of April, and close mid-October each season (weather permitting). Jurassic Forest is located north of Gibbons, AB on Highway 28, just 15 minutes from Northeast Edmonton. The facility consists of a learning centre, gift shop, concession, party tent, playground, and two major trail systems. There are over 50 animatronic dinosaurs spread throughout the 40 acre forest, with over 2 kms of trails from which to view the dinosaurs. The trail consists of the South and North Discovery trails, plus our new trail extensions.
Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.
No reservations are needed for families and individuals!
Jurassic Forest provides quality educational field trips for school groups, and can provide programming for groups of any age! All lesson plans are in accordance with the Alberta Curriculum and can be viewed on our website. Lesson plans and programming are also available in French! Jurassic Forest also offers in-school programming for the winter months. Bring palaeontology to life with these one-of-a-kind fun and educational experiences!
