Gibbons

'Living at its Best”

A rural atmosphere in an urban setting, the Town of Gibbons provides a perfect backdrop for family living. Situated along the banks of the Sturgeon River, there is a variety of recreational opportunities for all ages.

Gibbons is rich in history and you can walk the 2 km walking trail (part of the Trans Canada Trails) that used to be the tracks of the freight wagons that brought goods from Fort Edmonton to Athabasca Landing in the late 1800's or preview life in that era by visiting the Gibbons Museum. Visit Longriders Campground and take a trail ride along the River Valley and see the Battenburg Tressle.

There are a number of community activities for all ages, including Family Day Weekend events in February, Canada Day Festival in July, Pioneer Days in August, and our outstanding Town Wide Garage Sale in September, plus many more. We invite you to visit Gibbons 'Living at its Best”.
