In addition, Parkland County is home to several world class attractions, including; the Devonian Botanic Gardens, which has over 10,000 species of plants being showcased, including the beautiful Kurimoto Japanese Gardens; The Clifford E. Lee Nature Sanctuary which showcases both birds and wildlife along its many elevated walkways and lookouts and the Wagner Natural Area which allows visitors to experience a prairie wetlands environment that is teeming with wildlife and waterfowl.
 
In addition to these areas, Parkland County has numerous greenhouses, u-picks, gardens and artisans that showcase their handicrafts. It even has an authentic General Store in Carvel that is like entering a time machine to the early 1900's. In addition, Parkland County supports the amazing Multicultural Centre in Stony Plain which boasts both the best homemade pie in Canada and offers a look at early pioneer life.
