The Multicultural Heritage Centre has been preserving and promoting the history of Stony Plain for over thirty-five years. While you’re at the Centre, a visit to the Homesteader’s Kitchen is a must! Our Homesteader’s Kitchen is known for fresh bread, homemade soup, and we are famous for our many varieties of pies made, daily.
Alongside the Multicultural Heritage Centre stands the Oppertshauser House. Currently this old house gives home to our General Store.

The Pioneer Museum is situated on over 9 acres right in the Town of Stony Plain and has a collection of over 6000 artifacts ranging from small household items up to large farm machinery. There are 10 historic buildings and 7 administration and display buildings, plus half the grounds are planted with crops, which are harvested in the fall by older traditional methods. During special events, there attractions for children and families as well as living history demonstrations.
